For more than 12 years, AED project has been among the pioneers and leaders in the field of BIM (Building Information Modeling). Throughout our history, we have transitioned from traditional drawing boards and 2D drawings to sophisticated digital information models of buildings. While some still use traditional methods, we at AED project work exclusively with BIM.
What does BIM mean for us?
For us, applying the BIM method is primarily about moving forward toward more efficient and transparent cooperation between all project stakeholders—from the investor and architect to individual professions to the construction. Thanks to this modern method, we minimize information loss; design changes are clearly recorded directly in the models
For us, BIM is not just a technology, but a philosophy that we follow every day. Although the design principles remain the same, BIM radically changes the tools and approaches we use. At AED project, that is what we consider a key factor for the future of construction.

What is our approach?
For over 12 years, we have been intensively developing our own information modeling standards, regularly verifying them in practice. We have a specialized BIM department that develops original methodologies verified by dozens of successfully built projects. Instead of adopting outsourced solutions, we focus on our own innovations and the systematic development of know-how. Our work always begins with a conceptual view of the entire life cycle of a building – from the initial design through construction to operation and maintenance.
How do we work?
The information modeling method enables us to create detailed, coordinated digital models for both simple and highly complex projects. In addition to spatial coordination of technologies, we efficiently collect data from structural and component models and share it with other project stakeholders in a targeted manner. We utilize a shared data environment (CDE) that features our proprietary standard for communication and secure transfer of project information.
Our highest emphasis is on the quality of models, which is crucial for their future use in subsequent construction phases. With many years of experience, we are a leading promoter of the BIM method in the Czech Republic. We have successfully built many projects, fully utilizing the capabilities of BIM.
Our experience enables us to provide expert guidance and support to all partners, regardless of their BIM experience. In addition, we are an active part of the Czech BIM community, where we share our expertise. We speak at conferences, where we share our interest and perspective on this progressive technology.
