Multifunctional Arena for Sports in České Budějovice

A modern multifunctional arena with a capacity of up to 5,000 visitors is set to be built in České Budějovice. The new venue will provide facilities for top-level sports, cultural performances and social events, while also contributing to the development of the surrounding public space. The project includes a new connection between the exhibition grounds and the city, strengthening links between the site and its urban environment.

The architectural design emerged from an international competition. The winning team consists of the Czech studio Boele Architekti, the renowned British practice Wilkinson Eyre Architects—designers of numerous landmark projects worldwide—and the London-based engineering consultancy Expedition Engineering.

AED project is involved in all stages of the project documentation and forms part of the multidisciplinary team guiding this significant investment from design through to construction.
