Another milestone in the Mephared II project reached – New Charles University Campus in Hradec Králové
Achieving the highest point of the shell construction is usually accompanied by a traditional ceremonial ceremony associated with attaching a tree, “glajcha”, to the roof. The tradition was also followed in the case of the construction of the Charles University Campus.
As part of this ceremonial event, guests, accompanied by construction workers, walked through the shell construction of the campus. They could see the planned final appearance of the interiors on display and compare it with the current state. Experienced guides provided them with an explanation of the progress of the work.
The construction of the campus, which began in August 2023, is running according to the approved schedule. We continue to cooperate intensively and check that the construction contractor complies with the valid project documentation, and we play the role of author's supervision.
The new campus will open to the first students in the academic year 2026/2027.
