Spa Chomutov

The city spa has been in the centre of Chomutov since the 1980s. The architectural competition for their reconstruction was won by an international team of architects from the Boele Architects studio.

Ateliér digitalizace | was also involved in the projection DIGI, which prepared a BIM model of the current state of the building.

We are happy to design a new cultural and educational space, the heart of which will be a large library.

The volume of the building remains unchanged, saving both public funds and the environment. The skeletal reinforced concrete structure will be cleaned and, with the help of local construction interventions, we will open impressive entrance spaces in the building, both from the city centre and from the city park.

The conversion of the building of the former city spa into a 21st century library is, as the name suggests, a reflection of the development of architecture and society today. The proposed modifications bring this abandoned building back to life and open it up to the residents of the city for today and future generations.
