Bus stop in Most

New built station roof on the corner of streets Pod Širokým vrchem and Hořanská cesta comes into being from idea that holds interest of jury of the public competition called Refresh Your World organized by Pepsi company. Purpose of campaign was tempt public to draft new looks of bus stops or their roofs. The investor consequently cooperates with Bohemian and Moravian towns to bring the best drafts to life. AED project ensured the project and also the supply of whole bus stop.

Project was created on the place of existing bus stop.  The new object of waiting room is constructed by glass-fiber-reinforced shell formed into a shape of Jin-jang symbol.  For optimizing the passengers’ comfort there is a rounded glass-cement bench.

Light construction is based on concrete arch.  Bearing structure is made of self supporting steel and thick-walled tubs that are anchored to foundations. Back wall is made of white glass-fiberboard GRP. The roof construction is made of self supporting composite board with transparent porthole made of extruded plexiglass.

Glass-cement surface creates shapes of seats, under seats areas and sideboards of the imaginary bench. The project of the bus stop is functionally and aesthetically completed thanks to pavement made of vibration press concrete (thickness 60 mm). Pavement is purposely two-colored and creates black and white Jin-jang symbol which was determinant for the whole concept of the bus stop.
