AED succeeded in the Czech Architecture Award

The Breda & Weinstein Social Center in Opava was awarded an Special prize by the Ministry of Industry and Trade (authors Šafer Hájek architects and AED project).

Extraordinary prize of the Ministry of Industry and Trade for access and revitalization

of the industrial building were awarded by the evaluators of the Opava Social Center Breda

& Weinstein (Shafer Hájek architects, 2012). They appreciated the fact that it was a sensitive reconversion of the former

the dilapidated brewery managed to gain a new social and commercial center of the city and the region.

In their view, the authors approached them with respect to the architectural qualities of the original industrial

and managed to preserve the brewery chimney as well as the historical character of the facades and brick walls.

Social Center Breda & Weinstein in Opava was awarded by Special prize of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
