The fourth oldest building in Marianske Lazne was reconstructed into an apartment building designed by Eva Jiřična and her architectural studio AI – Design. The building is lit by daylight entering thought the glazed roof and filtering down to the entrance floor thanks to its glass staircase. Glass was also used for the half-landings and elevator.
Rock Café music club may reopen in November 2009

The music club will be soundproofed using the box-in-box technique. A new fully soundproof room separated from the music hall floor by special springs will be built inside the existing music hall. The existing walls and the new walls will be separated by air space “this is the only possible solution”, said Aleš Marek of AED Project, in charge of the soundproofing.
